How does a solar water heater work?

A solar water heater system consists primarily of solar collectors and a solar water heater tank. The water in the tubes inside the solar collectors is heated by the sunlight. Since the heat cannot be fed in, the hot water is stored in a solar water heater tank that is filled with water. The water in the tank is heated up by the heated water and is used when the hot water tap is opened. If the water is not hot enough, it is heated up further by a central heating boiler. The energy can be stored for at least a day, so it will still be available after the sun has set.
